Turkmenbashi International sea port is a modern transit center, and its role in the transit of goods along the Asia-Europe route is especially emphasized. Much work is underway to expand cooperation with the Caspian ports in the field of transport and communications, to create favorable conditions for increasing freight traffic, as well as to effectively use the infrastructure of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. To promote and broadcast information about the Turkmenbashi International sea port on wider platforms, video recordings and interviews were organized about the work done, the opportunities created and the results achieved, as well as the goals set for the future with the “Mir 24” TV channel of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the correspondent of "Mir 24" TV channel Igor Masunov. “The Caspian Sea for Turkmenistan is the most important zone of economic development. A part of the "Lazurite Corridor" - a large-scale transport and logistics project that the country is jointly creating with Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Georgia and Turkey - runs along the sea. The corridor will connect Asia to Europe. The port in Turkmenbashi has its own special role in this project. Great hopes are held on the port in Turkmenistan. The authorities expect that thanks to this facility they will be able to bring the country to a leading position in the export-import logistics system of the region”. Our country seeks to occupy one of the leading positions in the logistics system of the Caspian region. To achieve this goal, the Turkmenbashi International sea port is considered a key link in the multi-modal transit transport corridor.
