On June 2-4, 2021, a videoconference was held between representatives of Turkmenistan and foreign countries. During the meeting, the program “Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey (Lapis-Lazuli) – a single logistics center for international transit cargo transportation” was presented. At the meeting, the “Lapis-Lazuli” corridor, created for transit, borders with Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey and is the only logistics center between the five countries. It was emphasized that “Lapis-Lazuli” is characterized by high logistics, which contributes to the economic development of the corridor at the international level. Speaking at the meeting, international expert Alexander Zaboev spoke about the advantages of interstate lapis lazuli in interstate relations, the advantages of the intersection of transport diplomacy of Turkmenistan, and finally, the Customs Service of Turkmenistan, the Agency “Turkmendenizderyayollary” and the agency “Turkmendemiryollary”. Alexander Zaboev also said that this will help to make new changes and in addition, noted the “Lapis-Lazuli” corridor, which is the shortest and most convenient route for railways, roads and sea routes, as well as that it is on a more convenient route for all states. Another delegate of the videoconference, Ambassador John McGregor, said that in order to simplify the documents related to the relevant agencies in the transport of goods, it is necessary to transfer the documents of the relevant agencies to a digital system and make the documents unified.
