On October 7, 2020, a videoconference was held in the administrative building of the Agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation between the heads of the Agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary", the Merchant Marine and the Turkmenbashi International sea port, as well as representatives of the Kazakh state in Turkmenistan. During the negotiations, the Kazakh side proposed to establish a flight Aktau-Turkmenbashi-Makhachkala by Turkmen RO-PAX vessels. It is reported that the proposal will be considered by the Turkmen side. The Turkmen side also offered to cooperate with interested parties at the Balkan shipbuilding and repair plant. Following the meeting, the sides exchanged views on further strengthening relations in the field of Maritime transport, taking into account the existing opportunities between the two countries.
