On July 16, 2020, a meeting between the Agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" and the Romanian company "UMEX S. A." was held in the office building of the agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary". the meeting was attended by the heads of the Agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary" and representatives of the Turkmenbashi International sea port, as well as representatives of "UMEX S. A." from Romania. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation between the company "UMEX S. A." from the Romanian Republic and the Agency "Turkmendenizderyayollary". During the meeting, the Romanian company spoke in detail about its activities. In particular, the company reported that the main part of cargo in the port is sent from Central Asia to European countries. The Turkmen side, in turn, presented the Turkmenbashi International sea port and reported that the amount of mineral fertilizers currently transported through the port was three times more than last year. In this regard, both sides stressed their readiness to establish cooperation and expressed their readiness to lease land plots inside the port.
