Consultative Meeting Between Turkmenistan And The OSCE On The Development Of Transport Cooperation.

     On September 4, 2020, the OSCE Office in Ashgabat held a joint meeting with the relevant departments of our country and representatives of "Turkmendenizderyayollary" and the Turkmenbashi International seaport to determine the main directions of future cooperation with the OSCE in the field of transport system management, strengthening the stability of transit corridors and logistics development. It was noted that the main purpose of the meeting was to identify issues for discussion at the two-day OSCE seminar on September 22-23, 2020. At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of the relevant authorities of the country spoke about their work in the development of the country's transport industry. Later, during the meeting, international experts who participated in the event expressed their views on the management of the transport system, strengthening the stability of transit corridors and developing logistics capabilities. During the meeting, the Turkmen side asked for opinions on issues of interest to it, namely, the transfer of the transport sector to a digital system, the introduction of a "single window" system, the exchange of information between Caspian ports, as well as the temporary transfer of port terminals to private individuals. At the end of the meeting, a preliminary draft of the agenda of the seminar to be held by the OSCE was adopted, based on the issues raised at the meeting.
